So much of the beliefs that hold us back are from a time of feeling at our most vulnerable, when our power was taken away, when the world felt big and we felt small.
I realised recently that my process of meeting those narratives hold similar steps to when I support my young daughter through big emotions, through anger, through fear... and it makes sense right? If many of our limiting beliefs were formed in the first 7 years of life then of course this process makes sense! What we needed in that root moment was for someone to help us navigate which felt overpowering and out of our control, we couldn’t self regulate yet and we had no context yet to the whys and what’s of why things happen, why we hurt or feel scared... all we know In that moment is that we do.
So try these steps next time you feel those beliefs about yourself stopping you in your tracks to where you want to be, to how you want to be feeling and living.
